Forums - Gaming - Post your top 5 RPGs

1. Fallout
2. Arcanum
3. Fallout 2
4. Planescape Torment
5. Morrowind

It'd hard, this is my RPG list, without any JRPG, which feels lite a totaly different genre.

I find it strange that noone else has mentioned Arcanum.

Beware, I live!

Welcome to the forums!

Oh well, good things always get rip-offs

From my RPG addicted wife:

1. Phantasy Star (original)
2. Lunar
3. Final Fantasy X
4. Final Fantasy IX
5. ShadowHearts.

However she wants it noted that she still has a couple dozen games she owns but hasn't gotten to (woe be upon those with fulltime employment).

As for myself, I loved the one about the boy who lived in a far away magical land who learned he was actually the child of a great king/hero and was destined to prevent an ancient evil that threatened to consume the world.

Good question but hard:

1. Baldurs Gate 1

2. Baldurs Gate 2

3. Secret of Mana (I know Crono Trigger belongs here but this was my first real RPG so it wins)

4. KotoR

5. Planescape Torment/ Ice Wind Dale draw

Yeah I´m a Bioware Fanboy, you got me, for me AD&D rules combided with a turn-based and non turn-based hybrid is the best thing a RPG has seen, the freedom of beeing able to slay weak enemys in a hartbeat but also be able to do things step by step is amazing, the complexity of options you have for your team and charakets in BG is unmatched in my oppinion an the story is better than many books if read. I doubt that I wil ever enjoy a game as much as BG 1&2, fingers crossed for Mass effect :)

BTW: the last two times I played BG I used a multiplayer save file as a single player one so I could make my comlete team on my own, it takes away from the story but since I know that by heart it was super fun, I got to make all six charakters myself and kickes ass day and night.

4. Baten Kaitos
3. Chrono Trigger
2. Super Mario RPG
1. Skies of Arcadia

and so the winner is chrono trigger...(after a fast reading)

square-enix is time for a real sequel...

You might try playing Chrono Cross all the way through, especially when you get to Chronopolis, where we re-visit and learn about the events of Chrono Trigger in near full, including the lost city of Zeal.

Numbers: Checker Players > Halo Players

Checkers Age and replayability > Halo Age and replayability

Therefore, Checkers > Halo

So, Checkers is a better game than Halo.
