Seriously people tri-ace has made one bad and one decently good game this gen. Neither are must-own. Third time's the charm? I mean come on. Eventually you HAVE to learn your lesson about this developer.

Damn, you are not as scary with this avatar.

The game does look sick though. We'll have to wait for more info.

Because the in game that they show, while looking good doesn't compare to the FMV. This has been something I've been able to pick out ever since I was a Nintendo fanboy and PS one owners would use FF7 FMV to show that the PSX was more powerful then the N64, which is of course crazy talk.

looking good!

What I noticed from the video was nearly the same level of clothing and hair motion during battle footage as to the cut scene...Shenmue is a great example of how a cut scene can be done using the in game engine and look way more polished than the actual game....framerate variables do not appy to cut scene...I think you should look deeper..I personally feel the the cut scene's are in game engine

It may use the engine but it's a movie file not being rendered by the system in realtime,. There will be no seamless transition from those scenes to game play.

Or he can choose that he only wants to speak specifically with the 360 JRPG fanbase. This is ridiculous it's his FUCKING CHOICE what audience he would like to address. IF he doesn't want to participate this discussion with PS3 owners it's his choice he made the thread and he has his own reasons albeit whether they are biased decisions or not. Arguing with him over his free choice is ridiculous, so what he's gonna make less VGmoney (if he cared) and some PS3 owners might feel a bit bitter at him for not including them in his discussion, However in the end it's HIS DISCUSSION.

Chilax bro.

Chilling out -_- sorry but just seeing all these complaints on where this thread belongs gives me a huge headache. I don't want to wake up, check out a thread and find it filled with 5 year olds complaining to their mommies that Zizzla doesn't want to play with them. If Zizzla wants to be a grouch and play in his clique than let him and go find someone else to play with Timmy. The fact that I don't like children only drove me more insane.

Back on topic, the trailer looks good, what I'm most curious about is whether they'll be using the Star Ocean/Infinite Discovery Engine. If it's the same engine I'll buy the game but have low expectancy from it simply becuase I'm getting tired of Action RPGs. Graphics look good, I wish I had a better internet connection so I could watch the fullscreen HD version from gametrailers.

-=Dew the disco dancing fo da Unco Graham=-

Holy Sh*t.

[edit] Story

In the distant future, Earth has undergone a drastic change in the environment. For reasons unknown, poisonous layers of gases permeated the land, which results in near extinction for mankind due to not able to adapt to the new changes. The remaining humans built a gigantic device called Basel, an environment purifier buried deep into the ground, which cleanses the air in the surrounding land and hopefully the rest of Earth as well. Civilization began to reform around Basel itself, building a city around the tower. The upper classes live in luxurious apartments at the top of Basel while the lower classes reside among the many districts built around the base and stem of the tower. For countless years, all is well, until one day the purifier inside Basel begins to malfunction.

[edit] Characters

Zephyr (ゼファー Zefā?) - A 17 year old young man and the main protagonist of the game. An orphan born and raised in childcare facilities, Zephyr possesses a tough outlook on life, claiming "the fact that he lives is proof there is no God". In his late teens, he is scouted by Vashyron to work for his Private Military Firm (PMC), beginning his life as a mercenary soldier. In gameplay photos Zephyr is often seen using a pair of sub-machine guns.

Subject #20 (実験体20号 Jikken tai nijū gou?) - A 19 year old girl who was raised in a research facility, No. 20 is the result of a series of test experiments. Her body has been biologically controlled to expire on her 20th birthday. Knowing that she has only a year to live, the girl escapes from the facility, intending to defy her inevitable fate.

Vashyron (ヴァシュロン Vashuron?) - A 26 year old man who previously served in the military, Vashyron opened his own PMC to earn his living. During an assignment to suppress teenage rioters, he encounters Zephyr, and invites him to join his company. Vashyron was once a subordinate under the cardinal during his military days, and was the only survivor of his squad in a big scale skirmish. He appears to favor handguns.

[edit] Development

Promotion for Resonance of Fate began on April 1st 2009, when tri-Ace unveiled a teaser website with a countdown timer leading to the next week, with the game slated to consoles Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 under the title of a new "RPG Project". Before the timer ended however, leaked scans of Japanese magazine Weekly Famitsu revealed the game to be named End of Eternity. The project is a first-time collaboration between tri-Ace and Sega.[1] Directing reins for the game will be handled by Takayuki Suguro, who has previously worked on tri-Ace game Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria, and planner for Final Fantasy Tactics and Vagrant Story. The game's title was changed for its worldwide release presumably so as to prevent confusion with Isaac Asimov's science fiction novel of the same name.
