Forums - Gaming - Games that you have grew out of?

Sony fanboys are sooooo predictable and pretentious. LOL

I think I've grown out of the FPS genre, with the exception of BioShock...maybe because of the plasmids...kind of adds some versatility to the gameplay.

I'm happy to admit I still enjoy playin SSBB and Mario Kart....and I'm a 24 year old college graduate.

I'm not a fanboy, I just try to tip the balance in favor of logic and common sense.

pokemon,mario(although galaxy was awesome)

You can't grow out of quality games like Mario and Zelda. If you think you are too old for Super Mario Galaxy and Zelda Twilight Princes, then you are not a gamer.

Add me for Pokemon, New Leaf, and Fire Emblem, Mario Kart 8.

Mostly sports games and FPS's but I do love some like Timesplitters. Pokemon aswell, not because I hate the concept..just because it needs a total revamp.

it's not that.

its the lack of history.

in galaxy gameplay was great, but the story in the end was the same as 64 get 120. and then get them as luigi, and then get a secret one.

and killin ganon in zelda, was kill ganon for the ·**** time. a mix of ocarina but in the end you kill ganon the same way as windwaker. even with the same animations for the sword fight!.

1. did you really expect story from mario game? mario games are all about platforming, the story is just set-up for the gameplay.

2. did you play the same TP as everyone else? i dont remember remember ganondorf getting stabbed in the head in in TP, ganondorf was not overweight man in a tutu either, what i am trying to say is, the animation of TP and the windwaker are not same.

on-topic: i never outgrew of any game, i still like the games i liked 20 years ago.

I grew up playing NES and a lot of the games were very hard. I used to play games like Contra for long periods of time, but I don't have the time (or the want) do that anyone. I've moved away from most hard games except puzzle games. I've also moved away from FPS games because most of the console version have horrible control and my PC and monitor are very weak so I cannot run model PC games well. I've moved away from most RPG's also, because of the time factor. I'd much rather but 60 hours into SSBB where I play it for a few hours per week than a similar length RPG (where I would forget what to do after a few weeks).

You should congratulate me. I destroyed the vile red falcon and saved the universe. I consider myself a hero.

Don't worry kids, when you finish your teenage years you'll grow back into them. Image and ego are very important at this stage of your development.
