but is Valve a second party developer for EA???....because that statement is irrelevant. if the are a second party developer than EA has the right too decide that, but if there not Valve has that decision, but tri-Ace was a second party developer and if there IP are stuck with SE they cant go to SEGA..they'll need a yes from SE...like Insomniac just cant take rachet and go somewhere else.

Xxain, i think the reason that Star Ocean 4 is on the X360 is b/c its engine, the same engine used in Infinite Undiscovery (developed by Tri-Ace, published by Square-Enix) was originally funded by Microsoft (who also own the IP). as far as I know, the engine was not designed as a multiplatform engine (for obvious reasons).

because sony owns the ips!!!!!!!

 

what you are describing is that square has the rights to the ips. at least that is what it sounds like
