i said i agreed with the thread BUT saying Halo 3 looks the same as Killzone 2 is just dumb. I am not trying to say PS3 is more powerful ( though it usually ends up with best looking games) i was just trying to explain you KZ2 looks better than Halo 3, which doesn't mean Halo 3 looks bad ( i am actually surprised that it looks that good with 4-player split screen)

You can't expect both consoles to be exactly the same in graphics. There's got to be a console that is superior to the other. If neither console is superior in graphics, then why haven't we seen an xbox 360 game that is just as graphically realistic as the alfred molina demo? The only game I can think of that is very close to be on par to the alfred molina demo is heavy rain.  

There might not be the more powerful console... but there is the console with the best looking games (in general).

Anyway, it's not important if one console is more powerful than another, just which one the developers are able to get the best of it... so yes, budget, development time, artistic design along with the ability of the developers and hardware possibilites will make a game look better than another.

my brother's wife just bought a ps3 for him, with the thought that it was the "ultimate machine", not knowing that his 360 already has most of the games that he plays (he only plays sports games). he was mad as hell that morning coz she threw 400 bucks on something he probably won't use :P

^he hates baseball. he likes fifa, madden, nba live, and hockey. he still plays cricket and rugby on the ps2 too.

So to sum it up. KZ2 and GT5 are better looking than anything out there. And Uncharted has a better looking world, better looking characters and textures BUT Gears have better action movements and blood. All power aside. Cool.
