Forums - Gaming - Fallout 3 Soundtrack is Awesome!

So I restarted up Fallout3 to play through all the DLC and decided I had enough of listening to Agatha's radio station. Sure there were some nice violin pieces but 10 hours of it just made me sick. Switching over to 3-Dog's station was the best thing I ever did. I've gotten obsessed with a couple songs like Civilization, or I don't want to set the world on fire. What about the rest of VG community what do you think of Fallout 3's music?

I really appreciate developers taking the initiative to delve into music from different eras. That is a rewarding new experience, and helps people appreciate to what is to them new kinds of music. However music that is not contemporary has limited long term appeal. Especially when it is a incredibly short loop. Give it forty hours, and you will realize that nifty old music can become exceptionally grating on the ears.

I applaud the mindset, but not the implementation. The game needed twice the sound tracks to keep the music fresh rather then let it drift towards annoying.

i totally agree. fallout 3's music gives me that special feeling as i wander alone in the wasteland :]
