Haha, I understand. Being a old school gamer (well... 18 years old is not that old, but still), I can hardly get into new IPs. I don't know, I like playing games with mostly the same mechanics I've always been used to. New IPs must look REALLY interesting and not bring too many fresh things on the table (not create a whole new genre).

With that said, Mass Effect was really interesting, plus it's sci-fi! =P

I feel like Oblivion is a more Classic game than Mass Effect or Fallout 3.

Well, we have a different definition of what is considered a "game" then. o_O

Maybe it's more of a different definition of what is considered "Classic"

Good list, but I would change:

• Third Person Shooter: Gears of War 2-- Gears of War 2 is just the better thing, it improves upon everything in Gears of War


• Action: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune-- MGS4 isn't actually that great of a game, it was just heavily hyped.


• Survival Horror: Left 4 Dead-- I could either place this in Survival Horror or FPS and it would be the best in either one, but I think I like it better in Survival Horror.  It really just is an amazing game.


• Western RPG: Fable II-- I'm going to be honest with you, splitting RPG's into four seperate catagories is just stupid and Oblivion wasn't that great either.  If you're going to pick a Bethesda game at least pick Fallout 3.


• Racing: ExciteBots-- Just an incredible game.

No, trust me. Oblivion is far from being a classic, let alone a game. ;)
