Forums - Gaming - Blue Dragon coming to DS!

Looks like Microsoft is moving again Sony as good as they can.

Around the Network

EA ported the almost failure Boogie to the PS2 and DS
Microsoft ported Blue Dragon & Viva Pinata to DS
Tecmo "ported" Ninja Gaiden to DS

^^ From the above I understand that if a company sees failure in a game that they hope to sell well and it doesn't, they port it to the console with the largest userbase. So, even if Wii is lacking quality 3rd party games right now, we might see a flow of ports from "failures" coming to the Wii considering that at least by 2Q of 2008 it will be leading in sales?

Very cool. Come on Halo DS!!!

As for cartridge size, when you take away the HD graphics you will take away almost the entire size of the game. Same with the sound being made for DS speakers. If it was too big, well then they could always use multiple DS carts. DQIX does.

Who here would actually be suprised at Halo DS?
MS seems to be throwing a bit of weight behind the DS as their sole purpose in the video game industry seems to be to hurt Sony. Halo DS would destroy the PSP in NA so I actually think it has a pretty good chance of arriving eventually.

On topic: I heard mixed things about Blue Dragon on the X360, Ill wait for more news on this one before I get hyped.

Naz, that news about DQ9 was a fake.

Is there any reason a 512M flash cart couldn't be used?

Fake or not, there is no reason multiple carts couldn't be used.

They can't use a 512 cart because 256 is the DS cart size limit.  That's really all there is to that...

Theres no reason why the DS cart limit cant be changed though is there?

Yes there is, I'm pretty sure "card swapping" doesn't work on the DS. That's how people knew the fake DQIX cards were fake i nthe first place (other than the game not veing anywhere near completion).

No, what I heard was that it was going to be on a 4Gb card...

Good. I'll probably have to buy a Xbox 360 for all the great games out now and coming out soon, but nevertheless this is quite great news to me. I'd like to know, though, is this the same game ported to the DS, or is it a spin-off or something along those lines?
