Best Buy will have Halo 3 available to play to the public today at 3pm in Dundas square..

I'm going to leave work for a "smoke" break and try it out..

The best thing about Dundas square when I was in T.O. last year, were the movies that they played outside late at night. I caught the tail end of Alien one night.

Well it was sort of a bust...

I was really hoping to see some single player action, but all they had was multiplayer. The line was too long for me to wait since I had snuck out of work to check it out. So I stepped out of line and just stood behind some peeps and watch the online play.

The online play looks just like the beta, nothing looked really different from the Beta. It was even the same beta map (the one with the two towers on each end) except some peeps where driving scorpions. I was watching this girl play, she had been doing pretty well for a while... but then got bored.

I still had some time before my coworkers started asking where I was and other games where also on display. I grabbed a remote for Ace of Combat 6 that was available and started shooting down a few planes... I quickly realized the the 360 looked different then mine, I asked and was told it was a Devbox. It was the first time I've ever seen one, it looks like a regular 360 but with this big addon case where the hd is located. I asked why a devbox here when most of the other games had regular 360s and thats when he told me I was playing the full game of AC6. And, that it was coming later next month and that they wouldn't anyone walking out of the place with a AC6 CD months before release.

So it was kinda cool that I got to play a game that won't be released for another few weeks, but sad that I didn't really get to play Halo 3.

But that's ok, I can wait till Tuesday 12:01 am....
