The problem is Sony needs space for PS3, PsP, PS2, SOE games (wouldnt doubt the new EQ and EQ 2 expansions being there) possible PsP2 ect....

Nintendo has Wii, DS

MS has 360 and possibly new Zune..

First of all, Sony Online thing is PC gaming is it not, so that is seperate.

Second... Sony is a bigger company with more 1st and 2nd party dev teams than Nintendo and MS

Third... More consoles would also mean more space (though this probably doesn't make much difference)

Eh, I doubt SOE will have anything compelling to offer :-/
Maybe everquest 3 for 2010 to compete with guild wars 2 and whatever blizzard does with wow? Uh, planetside?
DC universe will not be good. The Batman Arkham Asylum will have better critical ratings, IMO. The main booths look similar :-/

No, SOE handles their MMO division, including The Agency, Free Realms and DC Universe and various MMO's that have yet to be announced and will/may/arent coming to the PS3.

Considering the size of the SOE area they have reserved, its quite telling, I highly doubt they would reserve that much space without them having a large SOE showing prepared it makes no sense.

 

your also forgetting SCEE and Sony DADE's areas. Plus Sony might be doing another PS Lounge this year.

Sony Online might be PC gaming but the OP was about Sony having more space reserved. How is that different? That's like saying Games for Windows shouldn't be incorporated with Microsoft. Or even that the DS shouldn't be counted together with Wii stuff. There are a lot of people that have PC's that don't have consoles. Seperating the two is better because it probably wouldn't get as much space as it should honestly in a Sony booth.

SCEE is on the second floor

DADE is SecuROM unfortunately. It just means they will be showing off the newest security software for games...
