Wow...I thought this will be a bash thread and was plesently surprised that bashing is to a minimum.

Well done MS. While its important to give fanboys fuel for forums with crazy promisses and announcements...if you don't keep them, you look like a tool. And MS didn't look like a tool on this occasion...

You can't really bash when MS was nearly spot on.

P.S. Loved NinjaBlade by the way, thanks for the recommendation a few weeks back.

Well they gave them a B for getting.. what was it ? 28 out of 30?

93% = B?

They mostly kept to their claims, though they weren't actually that bold claims

I am still disappointed we haven't seen South Park

Oh, and Netflix sucks, I can't use it at all, because for M$ the world is basically America

Are you suggesting there is a world outside America? Well sir, I for one haven't seen it. I'll believe that when I do.

And Sony used "MoneyHat" with Movie companies they own. Is the reason that the Selection is not a big as it could have been....

And I don't think there is an extra fee to use Netflix over the 360...I would have to ask my friend who has it...

The extra fee for the 360 is Gold subscription.

*Note* - The reason I say "extra fee" is because subscription based services on 360 (ex: Final Fantasy XI) are exempt from Gold charges because they have their own subscription fee. FFXI can be played online by silver members. I think the reason it is different here is because the Netflix CEO is on the MS board.

I am pretty sure that the new BD players coming out with the Netflix instant view support do not require an additional fee like the 360 does. I am fairly certain they only require your initial subscription plan, which is how I thought it was going to be.

I have also had Netflix for over 2 years now and I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt the whole Sony thing has little to no bearing on what is now available to you on instant view.

If you already have Gold for gaming and have Netflix however the whole concept is a slam dunk for you.

Really I don't pay an etra fee and I use Netflix on my 360. It's just one of the bonuses available for those that are Gold members as long as you are also a Netflix user which I was already at the time to. Watching instant play movies from Netflix without havign to pay for a box to do so from Netflix is so worth it anyways. News Flash buddy most people have gold already that would want this anyways. So everytime gold members get something silver members don't somehow we pay an extra fee huh. We not paying anymore than we already would be for gold and if the features on gold don't interest you you ain't being forced to get it. BTW Why shouldn't Microsoft add more features for us Gold Members? I been a Gold Member since the very begining of the Xbox Live launch on the Xbox and never looked back and PSN is shit to Live I use both and PSN is average. You get what you pay for as they say.

The Fallout 3 DLC will be coming to PS3 as well, so scratch that.

So many of you PS3 Fanboys are so happy that your getting DLC's that Xbox360 Owners already have or have access to....What's your point...Fallout 3 DLC makes PSN Good now?.....

@gebx

I think they deducted points for being vague, or having open ended statements. You cannot really judge those, and slight leans probably didn't account for much in their analysis.

With what Microsoft got I expect Sony to get a C or worse. A lot of vague big claims there. I expect Nintendo to get an A, because lets face it they were not bold or even prone to any hyperbole. Just a lot of dry facts, and an annoying stage performance. God I pity them that was the dullest show last year. I will probably not watch their conference this year.

MS lived to pretty much all their promises!

Also Fallout DLC comes out MONTHS later? You can have the sloppy seconds.

It's just that simple.

Atleast MS can walk there talks.

"Kim: All told, by the end of 2008 more than 1000 games will be available for the Xbox 360.

Verdict: Too tired to count this one, but we are not encouraged by the fact that the ESRB as of today lists only 703 rated games for the 360. Was he counting Community Games?"

Backwards compatability would take the number to >1000
