So Pelosi was briefed in September of 2002, and at that time, they had already waterboarded Abu Zubaydah 83 times.

She says she was not told it was being uses. The CIA states they briefed her on the techniques uses.

Someone is lying. Who do you think it is, and what should be done about it?

I say Pelosi is lying, and she should be removed as house leader.

Just thought I would add (and why I think she should be removed). She is not just saying she was not told, she is accusing the CIA of acting illegally.

It is against the law for the CIA to mislead, or misinform Congress, and that is exactly what she said they did.

If she is found to be lying, it's inexcusable for a politician to accuse the CIA of illegal activity, just to save there own political ass.

I don't know whos lying.

I don't trust politicians and I don't trust the CIA.

Two people walk into small claims court named Bill and Tom.

Bill:  I paid Tom $500 to do work for me.  He never did it.  I want my money back.

Judge:  Bill, you should always get it in writing and I'm going to show you why so watch this.  Tom, did you ever agree to do work for Bill.

Tom:  No, I have no idea what he's talking about.  The money was a gift.

Judge:  Verdict for the defendent.

This is all very simple.  If the CIA can prove that Pelosi was informed then they win.  If they can't, Pelosi wins.

It doesn't matter who is lying or not.  All that matters is what they can prove.

I say Pelosi knew about it however her involvement was minimal and the Republicans are just trying to cover their own asses here by making someone else look bad. This kind of stuff happens all the time. She should keep her job and the Republicans should quit trying to divide this country.

Next week Pelosi will just claim she misunderstood the CIA briefing.

This all started, because after Obama entered office, they went on a witch hunt. Republicans said "if you are going after those responsible for waterboarding, go after all of them". Some of the key leaders on the Republican side want a full investigation.

So when the Dems do it, it's justice, but when the Republicans do it, they just want to divide this country?

it's doesn't matter in court who is lying, but it matters to me. Sorry it doesn't matter to you.

And I am sure briefings at that level have lots of minutes. The truth will come out. The other reason I am confident she is lying, is she said they mislead her. This wording means anything can be in those notes, and she can twist it to meet her wording.

Oh, and trusting the CIA, and trusting the CIA to tell the truth in a briefing that they have no reason to lie in, is a different thing.

      Yeah,they want a full investigation as long as no one investigates any of their higher ups, so their lackeys at places like Fox News keep talking about Pelosi all the time and aren't even mentioning that Bush knew about waterboarding.

     Republicans know what they are doing.  Bush had eight years to try to do something to aid the majority of the people in this country, and instead he just wanted to help himself and his families rich friends.

     It's time to move into a bold new America with equal opportunity for all even though the Republicans are trying to do everything they can to prevent people they see as their peasants from having the same opportunities that their wealthier consituents have.
