I had the same problem last week. This helped me fix it.

excuse my idiocy but do i input those numbers exactly as it says on the site or are those there for example?

It tells you where to go. SETTINGS > NETWORK SETTINGS > INERNET CONNECTION SETTINGS > WIRED CONNECTION OR WIRELESS >

On the XMB, go to setting, then Network settings, then internet connection settings and choose your connection. Then just do the same for your connection, and yes, use those numbers. It'll be there at the very end.

Havnt heard that one before, is it still under warranty?  I got about a month left under warranty so if something happens i want it between now and then lol

Yep Been getting that DNS error more recently and the usual router trick (turn off and on) hasn't been working.

I'd didn't not pay for this kind of service!

The lens died. I had it feeling it was going to die sooner or later.

My PS3 is fine and so is the connection, but friday i couldn't log into PSN and if I did I would get an error code, then all of a sudden My PS3 formats itself..luckily I didn't loose anything

Hook it up wired. Gosh.
