meh it's a double-bluff by MS.
If MS's "Lawyers" tried to put the gag order on the site and made it look like Sony's doing, then less people would but the full size PS3 waiting for the slim to be released

You're clearly joking. But i actually wouldn't be surprised it they really did stuff like that. They do employ some real mean tactics. Forcing a pricecut on their competiteir, when they are already losing money, would be quite ingenious.

-Urgant Press Release-

After the pictures from the factory has surfaced Sony has been trying to eliminate them from the web! In search who took the pictures Sony ordered all factory workers to come to a manditory meeting. At the meeting the sealed off all doors. Behind these closed doors Sony issued all employees will fight to the death since they dont know who took the pictures. As we sit here reading this article poor factory workers are biting each others ears off! We will report back when there is a clear winner!

That would be more entertaining to read!

ps3daily.co.uk have debunked the ps3 slim myth, apparently. The law firm exists, and they represent a chinese company that makes "Genuine Fake" consoles. (their words, not mine) In other words, the pics are of a ps3 knockoff. Which sucks balls.

I'm curious as to why Sony would use a Taiwan-based attorney. (As in.. they wouldn't?) Perhaps the knock-off company (based in Taiwan or mainland China) is the one sending the cease & desist?

Edit: Dr. Stephen Colbert beat me to the punch on this one.

Stop getting so excited about a Kid Icarus remake... the original NES Icarus sucked.
