Vlad's failing to note that there are thousands upon thousands of WoW subscribers that have multiple accounts. I seem to recall a certain couple that each had like twenty accounts at any given time.

It was 11.5 million active ACCOUNTS, which potentially could mean only 8-9 million actual SUSCRIBERS. That's pushing it, but still. WoW is known for multiboxers.


Anyhow, on the topic of Sims 3, I noticed one glaring point. The torrent came with a PERFECTLY working cracked .EXE. Usually, those cracked .EXEs are hard to get working right. Notably, many of the no-CD cracked executables for Sims 2 expansions - a number of them don't work right, or if they do, they make the game run INCREDIBLY slowly.

Not so with this. This one is coded PERFECTLY. The game runs faster than Sims 2, actually.

This tells me one thing. Whoever "leaked" this... probably was working on it for a WHILE. It also tells me that it was definitely a Maxis/EA programmer that leaked it, or at least was involved in the leak.

Which means one of two things. Either yes, someone's job is about to be lost at the same time a fun little lawsuit gets filed, or EA leaked it on purpose. Why, I'm not sure. But the most pirated game in all history is also HUGE seller, and just happens to be an EA title. Perhaps they determined that the early leak of Spore led to it selling better, so they wanted to pull that trick again with Sims 3.

I don't know. I DO know that there's something very fishy going down, though. And I'm benefiting from it. Any of you guys trying to get the game from Demonoid, I've been seeding for a day or so now.

Now that I think of it, you're right, Sims 2 crack I remember was a pain, I remember opting for mounting the image instead of cracking because the game ran much worse with it. This works perfect. Sims 1 had a problem with it too (invisible cursor)

My wife and I just opted for buying the Thai translations of the expansions. Still operates EXACTLY the same (ESPECIALLY since they came with multi-language discs), but it's incredibly cheaper. =D

You need one game box per account.

Who cares if someone people purchased two or more ??

Blizzard has sold over 15 million boxes of Wow for sure, more likely closer to 18-19 millions...
