Forums - Gaming - Will Duke Nukem Forever rise from the grave?

i doubt it

whats it now, 13 or 14 years of development, and they havent developed anything?

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

If it is, i expect it to be an Xbox360 exclusive... and revealed at E3 to be bought by MS.

This would be unsurprising and is probably the most likely case.

At this point even if it does rise from the grave, I doubt we'll see any serious following for it anymore. The series is old and the fans have basically been abused by witnessing the developer constantly, constantly changing things up and delaying the game. In the many years of it's pending release, the gaming industry has changed and moved on. Without Duke.

Sad but true. We'll miss good ol' Duke, but this doesn't mean we'll accept some crap with "Duke" stuck on it.

Aparently 2.5 years ago the whole thing was one giant mess. Then some new people came aboard and they restarted work. They had almost finished the game. We are talkin months here.... It's a freakin big shame.

I really hope they do manage to get it out somehow.

Check out my game about moles ^

If the latest built was actually close to finished as some say then probably yes, if there is nothing but test maps and incomplete code (covering multiple versions) then probably not.

Personally I lost interest in this title a long, loooong, time ago.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

I think so. Take-Two will get the rights to the game since they been screwed out of $12 million and will put a team together to finish it up.
