The bottom cover looks the most fake to me, because the PS3 ("phat") has no visible screws. The first one you can unscrew is covered under a little piece of rubber, which is fixed by the warranty seal.
This bottom cover however obviously will leave several screws visible and to seal them all would look redicules.
No need to defend the look of it. It looks fine just not as glossy as the current PS3. There are other systems out right now that look much more fugly including the PS2 and the 360. Can beat the Wii though that thing is cute as hell.
I wonder if that glossy plastic costs significantly more to produce. If not then why aren't all electronics nice and glossy? My guess is it must cost something.

Agreed, if it were glossy then it would look down right decent.
Not having the glossy finish might reduce the price of the ps3 dramatically. Is it worth it? Yes it is, look at 360's brick (you know what I mean) and you will understand.

What are you talking about? The PS3 logo on that mock up Slim is nothing like the PS3 logo in the video.
The PS3 logo on the slim is like that of the PS2 logo, which is why I call bullshit on all these pictures. If they had had the PS3 logo from that video, then I might be more inclinded to believe the pictures.
