Maybe you use them weird? I had Sixaxis since 2007 and hasn't broke.

It must be my strength :P. I bought one back in February, and now it's loose. The 360's triggers are still strong.

save your receipts then, as you have a 1 year warranty on those things.

Anyways, if you take it apart and replace the spring it should fix the controller. If you don't have a warranty, then it is worth it to save $50.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Must be some bad luck, i have 3 DS controllers and they all are fine.

It is the opposite for me : The triggers buttons on my DS3 are still a bit hard (I don't use it enough probably), which gives me some precisions problems when playing KZ2 (note to mention that I have to block this tiny controller in the palm of my hand.. which brings even more pressure...).

Note : I feel the pressure of my 360 triggers unchanged, even after 450 games of Halo 3.

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

yeah the spring breaks on the trigger sometimes i had it happen only once but i mod my controllers to have 2 springs for each trigger as apposed to the 1 spring it has out of the box it feels better with 2 springs

u should of open the package of the new controller carefully put ur old one back in and returned it for ur money back

My fiancé's PS3 controllers are like that too... I was playing FFX and kept scrolling through menus and changing characters in the sphere grid because it was so sensitive, if I barely touched it it would respond... >_

I have a busted R2 on one of my two Dualshocks. Motorstorm is interesting because the R2 always reads that it's being held down even though it's not, so the boost just continuously gets used up until my vehicle explodes. I'm fairly sure it happened due to mistreatment from the previous owner though, so I have no complaints.

I thought this was going to be about the design choice of the triggers themselves, which would have been a far more interesting topic. Although it's probably been done in the past.

I thought it was 90 days for controllers and the likes. I'll check it out.
