Forums - PC - Is Piracy killing the PC?

I say it is. I hate pirates.

I currently reside under the London Bridge.

Does anyone know what I did with my hat?

Au contraire mon ami, piracy is the biggest atu of gaming PC's in the "rest of the world".
That is, piracy sells PC's.

I don't think so myself.  But if you listen to the likes of EA then Piracy is.  I think piracy is petty wide spreed when it comes to single player games but I belive it is less so with multiplayer games.

e.g  Left 4 Dead on steam....  We all know thier are pirate copies of this game.  But people with pirate copies of L4D are limited to what servers there can play on (they will need to host thier own or find cracked servers), also what version they have will be diffence to other pirate versions other people have, so its much harder to find people to play with (unless your all friends with the same copy), as valve are forever updating their games.

With a real copy of L4D on steam you never need to worry about patches, updates, finding people to play with etc

Same with Counter Strike, these type of games will contiue to sell millions of copies due to being multiplayer and not to forget Great games........

PC gaming rules.....

you troll, no it's not.

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

DRM is killing it. Makes me scared to buy a game.  I don't need all those spyware hooks that come with DRM.
