Glad you enjoyed it. At least Adam Elliot didn't bugger off to Hollywood after his initial success although i'd like to see what he would do with a bigger budget.

They probably kept the colour pallete reduced to decrease cost.

He probably should have done a few hollywood films, they were literally begging him to direct a few films for them. If he'd done a few that were successfull then he would have been able to make anything he wanted with far greater industry support. He was an idiot to spurn them.

I hope Mary & Max at least makes it's budget back so he can keep going.

LAKE MUNGO.This Australian thriller/ghost story looks great. Shot like a documentary, it's slowly picking up some buzz here in Australia and an American remake is already in development. It doesn't even have a distributor in Australia yet.Well here's a longer than usual trailer and it's pretty atmospheric...

Panique au Village. Plot:  Animated plastic toys like Cowboy, Indian and Horse have problems, too. Cowboy and Indian's plan to surprise Horse with a homemade birthday gift backfires when they destroy his house instead. Surreal adventures take over as the trio travel to the center of the earth, trek across frozen tundra and discover a parallel underwater universe where pointy-headed (and dishonest!) creatures live. With panic a permanent feature of life in this papier mâché town, will Horse and his girlfriend ever be alone?

Looks utterly hilarious. Not out in France/Netherlands until the end of the year but keep an eye out for it.

PIG HUNT. No, it's not a new VH1 dating show! This has crappy cult monster flick written all over it(and it doesn't look too crappy!). The usual suspects head into hickville to hunt pigs but there's a 3,000 lb porker on the loose! Throw in a strange machete weilding hippie, Deliverance hillbillies, weed growing girl cultists who worship the pig, high powered weaponry and liberal amounts of gore...Looks like this one is only doing the rounds at horror festivals so expect straight to DVD. I'd love to see it on the big screen though.

PONTYPOOL(The Canadian town, not the Welsh one!). This looks like a smart indie pyschological thriller/horror/zombie flick. Only out in 1 theatre in the US this weekend(that's what I call a limited run!).
