Had some typos in title, my bad...

New Forza 3 Wheel Showing At E3?

If for some reason you weren't expecting Microsoft to show off Forza Motorsport 3 for the Xbox 360 at this year's E3 expo, start expecting it.

German racing wheel maker Fanatec says its new Porsche 911 Turbo S wheel controller, the one built with Forza 3 in mind, has entered pre-production and will be shown at E3 next month, hinting that it will be tied to the next Turn 10 Studios racer.

What's more interesting is why the wheel appears to have been slower in getting to production.

"It took a little bit longer than expected but Microsoft wanted us to support a new feature for Forza 3," writes Fanatec company rep Thomas Jackermeier. Wonder what that could be?

While the game hasn't yet been officially announced, its existence was not-so-subtly hinted at recently.

PWTS Pre-production started [Fanatec - thanks, Martin!]

LOL. It is looking more and more likely that Forza 3 will be shown at E3.

That LOOKS like a nice wheel.

Edit: I think I know what the new feature is! Its called back seat driver which means its got a microphone and it responds to commands from other people to slow down or don't go so fast around corners or you're going the wrong way.

Tease.

awesome! we need more games

Hmmm....I wonder if the feature is going to be something to do with the new motion detector?

Sounds interesting. Can't wait to learn what it is. I think they'll have put everything they could into making this game as best they can to match GT5.

It has a clutch

The forcefeed back better be as good as the 360 wireless wheel, or I'm not buying. Forcefeed back is the most important thing for me as it tells you realistic info regarding under and oversteer, as well as loss of grip. Anyway 2 Forza games already this gen. Man my 360 stays hot. :)

The new feature is probably clutch and 6 speed shifter support for the wheel.

Sim-racing TV test the wheel with Race pro and Forza last month and claim that the FFB is even better than MS wheel (and definitely superior to Logitech G25)
