Forums - Gaming - I basically bailed out the Gaming Industry yesterday

So I've been having some  money problems lately and I couldn't buy any new games or in fact any games my last was killzone 2 way back in Feb, and the fact that my friend took more than half of my games because he just bought a PS3 was not helping. I was bored out of my mind I only had 4 games left, 3 FPSs (KZ2 - Bioshock - BF:BC) 1 Sport(FIFA 09) and I really needed a break from all the FPSs tbh

So my money problem was solved yesterday and what do I do ..... buy more Shooters o_O (I know I hate my self :( )

First it was the HMV store I found Unreal Tournament 3 for the 360 for just $20, it had Splitscreen and Co-op and since I'm giving my 360 to my brother this summer I thought it would be a good deal because of the Splitscreen.

Moving along to the local EB games I didn't find anything interesting or any good deals so I went to Futureshop and found the best deal, Metal Gear Solid 4 Special Limited Edition or whatever for just $35 now you can't say no to that ;) and I also found The Orange Box for the 360 for just $20 also now that's $4 a game couldn't just pass and it was the last copy and I've been hunting down this game for quite some time now.

Now to Walmart where I found Resistance 2 for $30 tbh I don't know why I sold the game in the first place. It had the best Co-op this gen After L4D (better than COD WaW zombie and Gears's Horde IMO) so I picked it up. The Funny thing is when I sold it to EB they gave me $37 worth of credit so I made $7 :p

Finlay I bought Far Cray 2(PS3) for just $28 form Amazon. I don't care much about the game but the price was hard to pass, and I bought Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (360) for the same reason as UT3 it had SplitScreen Co-op and it was only $23 on Amazon and both of them will be Shipped FREE

so you're Welcome Sony, Konami, EPIC, Ubisoft(Twice) and Valve :p

Total Money spent: $178.31 OUCH !!!!

BTW for those who are interested Futureshop is still selling MGS4 Special Edition for $35, EB still has the Regular Version for $50 !!!!

MGS is very borderline shooter. It should be a refreshing change of pace for you as long as you're willing to play the game as the game urges you to play it. That means be sneaky, use as little ammo as possible, and let yourself get lost in the story. Ultimately you ought to play it however you want, but you'll most likely get the most out of it if you take this advice.

My Top 5:

Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid 3, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Chrono Trigger

My 2 nex-gen systems: PS3 and Wii

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.

Presuming none of those were used copies, well done!

Impulse spending is what sound purchases are made of.

Buy GOW3 it is probably coming this fall.

I will not play MGS4 right now or any time soon I'm planning on playing MGS  1-3 first

Gotta love that Bestbuy.

Buying UTIII was a bad move.
