+1 to the Keen lovefest going on in here
Never argue with idiots
They bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience
Once I'm done with Flowerworks, I'm seriously considering ripping off Commander Keen/Duke Nukem (2D) for some 2D, adventure/action/platforming on the Wii/PC...
I'd love to make a game like that :)

Wasn't there a Gameboy Color Keen game?
Anyhow, Keen belongs with any retro title game that is thought about being rereleased, in the pile of other games that need business plans to justify them returning.
Yes, there was a GBC game, but it was atrocious and shouldn't be mentioned. It was nothing like the other games, and Tom Hall insists it should not be considered canon.

I still have my old Commander Keen games on the gigantic floppy disks.
They were awesome. And Keen 4 even had pong.
5 & 6 also had Paddle War (pong) on them... but yes! That was a fan favourite, by my understandings.

Commander Keen was one of my favorite games of all time and I'd love nothing more than to see The Universe Is Toast released.. but do you think its even been completed? About that time, Doom was released and iD software completely refocused on those types of games.

Oh, you misunderstood me.I know The Universe is Toast wasn't completed - that's why it never released. I'm not asking them to release something they've already made. I'm asking them to finally actually make said saga, and re-release the ORIGINAL Keen games.

I only played Keen 4: Secret of the Oracle, but I LOVED it, I'd play a new Keen for sure
