Call support then. Since 98% of all users dont seem to have this problem, and You obviously have done everything correct, it must be a problem with the service. So call support and have them fix it.

ha ha i got frustrated entering my bank details once, i was getting really racked off but it was my fault i had a cash card not a debit card, i thought it was a debit card though, so my bad

you stated that you copied the info off off your bank statement , but is it exactly the same as the name and address info you used to creat the credit card account at the store in the first place

log on to the online ps wallet and enter it there... if it is valid... u will be able to redeem that via the ps store.

I am also from Canada and it worked perfectly for me. You must be doing something wrong.
I think the video store not being available in Canada is not because of Sony.
It sucks either way though.
