A big french retailer (FNAC) has released 2 news offers for the Xbox360.
You were able to pre-commad them for the 2 november 2007.

NOW, Microsoft has saied "it is bullshit and the offer is off".

I hope Microsoft does go with the Xbox 360 Arcade bundle it would be a serious contender in the mass market.

Looking at the two new bundles, they look very competitive, also in comparison with the Wii. Going to a German electronics store the other day, the amount of games available for the XBox and the representation (shelf space) they got was really impressive. Having a price cut in Hardware would make it look even more exciting.

I assume a price cut in France would be accompanied by a similar price cut in Germany? There is a lot of cross border shopping ongoing (am from Baden) and French people come to Germany for electronics and German people go to France for food. If the price cut were only in France, guess that would change a bit.

MS needs to help out the Core. In its current form, it's a real waste of money. Adding a wireless controller and a memory card for 279 is a decent deal.

I think MS needs to get rid of the Core altogether. Hard drives should be standard in every SKU. Even this arcade version should have a 20GB hard drive -- if you want people to get into Xbox LIVE, they need to have space to download their games. A memory card doesn't cut it.
