courage the cowardly dog
anime its a tie between naruto and dragonball

The best cartoon ever is: "Les mystérieuses Cités d'Or". I think it was translated "The Mysterious Cities of Gold" in the US.

Quoted FTW!!
The Mysterious Cities of Gold (1982)
It helped popularize the French/Japanese animation style. It also 'mixes in' realistic depictions of nature formations (ie. clouds, video scenery) and other effects for added stylistic realism and immersion. Heavy use of real photographs, art and graphics.
Good one TruckOSaurus :D

I've got the DVDs of all the series and I watch all episodes at least once a year like I use to do when it was showed on TV every year.

Asterix is one of the best funny comic strips ever created imo and the series was incredibly successful in Europe; more than 300 mio. albums sold, of those more than 200 mio. sold in only two countries: France (of course) and - surprisingly - Germany (which is otherwise not well-known at all as a comic strip loving country).
My all-time favourites:
Cartoons - Tom & Jerry
EU comics - Spirou & Fantasio (the albums created by André Franquin; favorite Spirou album is "QRN sur Bretzelburg")
US/CAN comics - Calvin & Hobbes, what else (with Hal Foster's Prince Valiant as a close 2nd)

Right now my favorite is American Dad.
