The nose/face thing: because I only own a handful of PS3 games I don't play terribly often?  I wouldn't say that...  I don't regret buying the console due to that (I thouroughly enjoyed Heavenly Sword and Disgaea 3, and Res 2 was a passable game while I was recovering from my RROD, and I couldn't have played them on 360.  Also, I'm looking forward to GoW III).  I DO regret that my purchase supported a company that since then has seemingly done its best to render the purchase a mistake.

I do agree with you on the other points, however...  fanboism is at its worst when it meaninglessly bashes the console the fanboy doesn't own.  That's just jealousy.

People think the 360 is selling more because it's the better console but it's not. It's just cheaper. If Microsoft didn't do a price drop last year I'm guessing the 360 would be up by maybe 3-5 million instead of 9 million.

I believe the PS3 will out sell the 360 at the end of this gen for the fact that the PS3 have better games coming out and the PS3 will be around longer. I think the 360 got to do better in Japan for it to beat PS3. 360 sales are declining in Japan while PS3 is going strong. As soon as a price cut comes hopefully by Christmas time I'm guessing the PS3 will sell like crazy especially if by any chance God of War 3 or GT5 come out by Christmas.

Japan sales are largely irrelevant.  They're all about the handhelds there, not consoles.

I don't think the ps3 would ever eclipse the 360 at least while this gen remains relevant but it has certainly improved and is set to outperform every other 2nd/3rd place console in history. For someone who had the console since July 2007, I can attest to the improvements that have been added to the ps3's functionality since then.

however, one has to realize that haters would always hate. If it isn't one thing, it's the other. Expecting hate to stop is naive so I say let 'em bring more. They're entertaining and give us lots to discuss.

Euphoria: Aside from LBP (which 360 currently has no counter for), the 360's software matches or bests the PS3's in practically every genre.  Unless MGS or GT was/is a must have for someone, I'm not sure why anyone would choose a PS over an Xbox (given the price difference).

Of course, Sony could change things with a $100 price cut, but I can't really see them doing that.  I guess we'll have more info regarding this in a week when they release financials and at E3.

And, I'm aware that Sony *has* games.  I owned an original PlayStation, before it died on me. 

Oh, and no PSN ID.  I play an occasional game at a friends house, but that's the closest to a PS3 I'm getting for now.  If they ever drop to $199, then I may reconsider. 

Ignoring the relevance topic why not highlight the guy being completely and utterly wrong.  Japan sales for the 360 have been up YoY all year so I don't understand how they're supposedly declining.  After reading you being completely wrong on the Japan subject I figure the rest of your post is just as ill informed.  Perhaps you should stay away from SDF and read some proper news sites C_Hollomon.

@CGI - The author is delusional because there is blatantly still hate out there in the press.  Doesn't mean he's not entitled to an opinion but calling people out for saying what needed to be said about the PS3 is very poor journalism and reeks of fanboy bias.

By taking japanese numbers to further your point about the PS3 outselling the 360, you're just spinning numbers of no importance. The XBOX 360 focusses on America and others. Any weakness there could have some importance but not this. The XBOX 360 isn't winning in japan. Basically it isn't there at all. It has shown remaining strength everywhere else and the sales difference between PS3 and 360 has only grown. Some 8 million even.
