So you live in a place full of 20-somethings and no one else? Where I live, the population of women consists of children that cannot look like Megan Fox, and a lot of people over 40 that also cannot look like Megan Fox(99% at least). Most women in their 30's don't look good like that either. Far too many have given up trying by then. That leaves a span of maybe 15 years the majority of a lady population can look like a Megan Fox when they get themselves professionally done. Let me give the benefit of the doubt and say 60% of the females in the range of 15-30 could potentially look that good. That right there is not, and I quote from you "most women".

I see 5/10 as average, as in you cannot necessarily pick them out in a crowd; they are the quintessential average, as it were.

Most of the women in this crowd, for example, would all be around 5's, simply because no one really stands out.

The notable exceptions might be the girl near the right edge of the picture, just below the black fellow in shades and the cell phone. She looks kind of cute, so maybe she gets a 6.

The large woman with glasses and curly hair, however, stands out in the wrong way and probably gets a 3, or a 4 if I'm generous.

I dunno when I go to the mall I mostly see pretty looking people... Like I said, must be that there's a lot of good looking people where I live. In certain places, "average" looks better than in other places.
