Metal Gear Solid composer Norihiko Hibino's company, GEM Impact, has recently updated its website with information which has lead to rumors that Konami is developing a new title exclusively for Microsoft's platform. The website contains the following entry among the list of works for 2009:
'Konami "New Title" (Xbox 360, Japan)'
Furthermore, the website states that Hibino's company is providing both music and sound effects for the title. However, the site only lists games available for Japanese release, leaving the possibility that the title may not make its way Westward. Though one has to ask themselves why anyone would make a Japanese-exclusive 360 game (precedent or not).
Gamezine.co.uk also notes that another project listed, SEGA's Bayonetta, only names the PlayStation 3 as the release platform, though it is also coming to the Xbox 360. Therefore, it's possible that this unknown title could be released across multiple platforms after all.
