Do game reviews affect your buying decision on games?

To answer the question, for me it doesn't for some reason I just like the play the actual game myself and then pass judgement. But then again I liked to be warned on some flaws that are within the game before I purchase.

How about you?

It depends.Like Kingdom Heats got a 7.8 score on IGN and I didn´t care but some games that I am skeptical of getting and turn out to have low score then I won´t get them.

@ctk495

So you actually go by the score and not the material the reviewer wrote?

It affects my decision, but it usually depends on the reviewer. I also prefer looking at the median score as opposed to the average. IGN gave Madworld a 9.0 but its average is 8.2, and I'd have to go with IGN on that one. It differs from game to game.

My Games of 2011:

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Super Mario 3D Land

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

Of course. Thats what theyre there for.

Velvet Asassin for instance i was very excited about, but now ill rent it first.

Braid i had never heard of then read a review and bought it straight away.

It reallly depends on what the reviews say more so than the score. Like if they say the graphics on a 360 game are bad, that doesnt bother me because nothing on the 360 can be bad enough for me to not like it. But if they said the gameplay was broken, then id have second thoughts.

Yes, if games get really bad reviews I won't buy it even if I was looking forward to it....
