I dunno, Toronto is the only place with an MLS team and they do fine, probably average near 20k per match. Vancouver is getting an MLS team for 2011 I believe, might see how that works out.

interesting, canadians seem to be more open to having a new sport develop in their country than America. Strange...i need answers!

i am huge football fan, i grew up supporting Arsenal, i hope we stuff the mancs on tuesday :P
Yea, Americans are hugely into Baseball, Football, Basketball and everything, while us Canadians basically just love hockey - we have our own football league (American football I think you call it), which is pretty popular, but outside of Toronto nothing much - There is defenitly room here for another sport to become huge, while I think the Americans are quite full with other sports.
Ovcourse your a football fan Cougarman my friend. It is our religion in our great nation :D

I have been to america on lots of occasions and in Florida the only sports i could wath were Baseball American football and Basketball. I had never seen a Baseball match in my life so it was quite strange. Same with american football.
In England we do play hockey but only very minimally. Football(soccer) Rugby - a form of american football - the pads and cricket. Football is treated more as a religion than a sport. Seriously I would go as far as to say more people spectate a football match on TV or Live viewing than go to Church Mosque Temple etc etc etc.
There are lots of Canadian footballers playing in teh English Premiership.

Yea, but we can never qualify for FIFA =(
Maybe some day...
I like to play football more than baseball and American football, and my favorite to play is basketball, but I just don't watch anything but maybe the Olympics, or StarCraft videos.
So it's not like I prefer American sports over foreign sports. It's only my nerdiness that keeps me away from your exotic foreign sports. :)
