What would be your reaction if they announced the 720?

I think I would be speechless.

EDIT: this is based off of (i think it was gearbox?) the thread about MS hype for E3. It's true; They have been extremely quiet. Which makes you wonder what they are up to.

After a price drop this year to become the cheapest console on the market, a new gen can't be far. Would they use a premature announcement to sucker punch their way through E3? Sure, they don't really have to announce any specs, but they can just talk about their vision.

Of course they won´t.

I'm wondering how one goes about announcing something like what you mentioned as well.
By any means it would still be at least 2 years, I think if an announcement happened.

Would it be a huge knockout punch to the competition or to themselves?

I think I would have been speechless for another premature hardware release from Microsoct, and pray for not to have more issues overheating problems, the RoD, disc drive scratching and E74 error due to that premature release.

Also, thirds would not support it. It's already hard and fscking expensive to make a good and profitable X360 game.

i would just LAUGH so hard, because that would be dumb for them.. even tho they aren't going to win this gen, getting the lead on next gen wont work... simply because sony and nintendo are smart enough to make their next gen more inovative then microsofts because they will be able to c what microsoft has already done.

but i loved the logbox720 he had viva pinata built right in.
