Homeworld 3

Well, they are constantly modding Crysis. If you leave the modders alone and come back...

If you can't see it, I think you'll need to open it in a new window so heres the link.

Anyway according to the engine its using 2.5GB of ram.

Crysis looks damn fine. But what does that have to do with Homeworld?

^ I got bored of looking for homeworld 3 pictures and then I decided to comfort myself.

Homeworld 3 doesn't exist!! (yet)

LOL. No it doesn't. But I can hope.

Apparantly its next on the list for development... so um, see it in 3-4 years? Relic aquired the rights for the game again so its definately back home with the original developers.

Btw I had your post quoted, awaiting for the triumphant placement of Homeworld 3 pictures, but as none were able to be found I substituted them for Crysis.

Starcraft 2, simply because it will look smexy while also having tons of units on screen. But I think Gears of War 3 is really something to look forward to. The graphics can only get better from this point on, and they were nearly perfect in Gears 2.

LOL.  BTW, I thought I had seen some video of a new DirectX11 tech demo.  Have you seen this?  I cannot seem to find it.

My criteria for graphics isn't just resolution but the whole look and fit (plus resolution, AA, textures, etc as well of course).

The following games are the kind of games that impressed me over the last few years on consoles (in Alphabetic order to avoid any issues of ranking)

Assassin's Creed
Gears of War
GT5:P
Killzone 2
LittleBigPlanet

Right now I'd say Assassin's Creed 2 for this year is taking my fancy visually.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

I can't seem to find it either... Just give it time im sure both Nvidia and ATI are working on a tech demonstration demo.

There are estimates that you will be able to get PC graphics cards with over 5 TFlops of shader floating point performance THIS YEAR. Thats more than 5* the shader performance of all current gen consoles combined in one card.

Since you needed to talk about PC performance, I have a question for you.  Have you ever wondered why top PC game characters seem to look and move worse than top 1st/2nd PS3 games?  Look at Alan Wake's body in this pic (PC).

Now, look at this body (PS3).

Face in Alan Wake (PC)

Face in Heavy Rain (PS3)

Set piece in Alan Wake (PC)

Set piece in Heavy Rain (PS3)

What is your reasoning for this occurance?  So what good is all that extra money, when spent on this 5 TFLOPs GPU?  Where are the results?  GPUs are already past the FLOPs ratings in the PS3, so why are the animations jerky when compared to top PS3 games?  Why are the character models less than top PS3 character models?  It feels like having a car that has 5000 horsepower, but the drivers don't know how to go past 100MPH.
