Forums - Gaming - What's going to be the next game to blow you away because of it's graphics?

RE5 for PC.
Top graphics this gen besides Crysis games are Far Cry 2 and Fallout 3 on PC.

If  you are talking about the console: Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain will be the next one, then GT5 and then GOW 3.

Alan Wake if I see a official footage. Waiting for E3 for any kind of info. in this game.

Just WOW! I am speechless.

Thanks!

One question though, is that on PC or the  Xbox 360?

It's PC of course, isn't this the video where they're talking about quad-cores or something?

The only game which blow me away graphically was Killzone 2 at E3 2007.

Ok, im going to be evil and say this:

The next game which will truely blow anyone away, not that fake orgasm crap PS3 fans like to pull is probably going to be a PC game.

You will probably be disappointed, then.  PC developers need the coding knowledge of Sony's 1st and 2nd party developers (truly multi-threading their code).  I predict worse animations (which is a being part of graphics), etc than PS3 for PC games for the rest of this year at least.  Of course, I expect better textures; but, as some people have said on other websites, Uncharted 2 is texture-zilla.  Procedural textures is a HUGE win for the PS3.  I know God of War 3 will be using it in some capacity.  I wonder if Uncharted 2 is using this as well.  If not, PS3 and PC textures should pretty much be on par.

BTW, Uncharted 2 or Heavy Rain should be the next game to push graphics a bit forward in games (depending on which one of these come first).

That is the win of the day....

Do you actually believe the sh*t you are writing ?

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

Correct on PC. Yes they are talking about the quad core. But realistically the 360 version will be identical apart from resolution. It's the first proper game to utilise multithreading with the 6 threads the 360 has. Previous games like even Gears 2 was designed for single core gaming. So with companies starting to use the multithread capabilites of the 360 we will see much improved graphics over Gears 2 quite easily. So I would expect ( considering titles like Mass Effect look identical on PC and 360 ) that Remedy after 5 years dev on the 360 version will have it extremely close to the PC version.
