Otacon, in Metal Gear Solid 2.

In MGS, he was a sympathetic character who was afraid of heights, and his girlfriend died.

In MGS2, he was a helicopter pilot who screwed his mom and couldn't even grant E.E. her last wish, and call her "Emma" before she died. Bastard.
