Forums - Gaming - Who makes better RPGs?: Square Enix vs Capcom vs Namco

You guys saying Atlus seem to forget how few games Atlus makes, they just localize/publish a bunch of JRPG's for Western Markets.

Not that I don't love 'em, just they don't really make many of the RPG's most of you associate with them.

Yeah, but how many RPGs does Capcom make? Plus, it's not like Namco has much more than Tales (since all the other series are only published by them, I think). Atlus may only have SMT, but it trumps almost every other RPG series in existence, so it's hard not to consider it top tier. I'd say that, besides Squeenix, there aren't many companies that make a lot of JRPGs

Hopefully they can redeem themselves with FFXIII

Well, I am already sold at FFXIII when I saw the DEMO and of course the battle theme.

Bioware, the listed 3 companies don't make RPG. They make gaming stories.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Oh? Please elaborate.

Crusty VGchartz old timer who sporadically returns & posts. Let's debate nebulous shit and expand our perpectives. Or whatever.

Except from Lunar: Dragon Song. I think Game Arts makes pretty good RPGs. I still play Grandia and I enjoy it a lot
