I saw it last night and it was good, not quite brilliant.

It definately didn't piss me off like X-Men 3 did, I think it was about the same level as X-Men 2.

I'm still not happy Emma Frost and Cyclops were in the movie, they fucked up Wolverine's wife, and no idea why they called Wade Dead Pool, but other than that they did a pretty good job of the movie.

I went into the movie expecting to hate it but ended up pleasantly surprised.

I agree. That's why I liked Wolverine so much..the X-Men movies are terrible. imo.

Fantastic Four was stupid but fun imo.

For somebody who isn't a big x-men fan, it was probably a great movie....but for someone who used to read the comics back in the 90's. It was complete crap.

That goes without saying. It also applies to most other comic book movies. The talent that goes into making those comics just cannot translate well to the cinema, so they don't even try. They just create comic book-lite storylines to build the movies around. X-Men just happens to be one of the worst offenders. I plan to stick a large nail in my brain prior to seeing Wolverine so I can forget everything I know. Then again, I'm highly dissappointed at Marvel for how they've treated his character the last 10 years also. That origin shit is bogus.
