Video: Comparing filter options for Marvel vs. Capcom 2

With a demo already out (exclusively on the PSN) for this summer's Marvel vs. Capcom 2 revival, we thought it would be a great idea to compare the game's three graphic filter options in glorious HD video.

Originally our excuse for making the video was to play MvC2 at work, but it turned out to be pretty informative. The filters, (which can be changed at any time) start extremely "jaggy" in the classic mode, but get progressively softer on the eyes from crisp to smooth. In the end, the consensus around "the office" is that MvC2 is so fast paced, it won't matter which filter you have it set to. But for arguments sake, which filter do you prefer?

Crisp really looks the best, imo ofc.

All this video does is prove to me why I don't have an HD console. I see virtually no difference between the three, and what there is turns out to be so minute that it's unnoticeable during gameplay.

Useless since the compression of the video and it not being shown at it's real rez it will be scaled too...

They all look the same to me,but a noticebale difference over classic.

Chichirmuyo......what? You're glad you don't have an HD console because the downloadable games give you too many display choices? Okay.

This is a youtube video. Anybody who's downloaded a classic game (Street Fighter 2, Double Dragon, Ninja Turtles, etc) knows what to expect. It's either going to be razor sharp pixels or smoothed out sprites. Sometimes I like the pixels. Sometimes, I like 'em smooth. Either way, I'm going to be satisfied with the game and glad to have the choice.

-P.s. I'm on my Wii. The video I see (but can't play) is a youtube video titled: UAE Ruler's half brother in torture tape. Is this right!?

No, I'm glad I don't have an HD console because they cost a lot of money for insignificant gains.  Though the 360's price isn't so bad as of the last price cut...

This is an old game from like 2000 and frankly I don't care if the graphics are improved. The best thing about this game will be online play. That feature alone makes all previous releases obsolete. Also if you're looking for a visual reason why HD consoles are better I recommend you look at games that come on a disc as opposed to these inexpensive online downloads.

An old game from 2000? God, is that why I already have a copy for the Dreamcast? Thank god you cleared that one up for me.  Funny, though, that a ten year old game looks almost the same on an HD console with or without added filters...
