No surprises here.
Warner originally said they would only support HD-DVD.
Warner then said they would support BluRay by putting a couple mediocre titles on it (saving their biggest still for HD-DVD).
Warner is now saying they're considering switching back to HD-DVD only (for cash).
Apparently the grass wasn't greener on the other side. Should be interesting to see what Warner says next.

Isn't that news a good month old and was denounced a few days later?
Lets have a look at all the threads you started, starcraft, it's clear you have an agenda.

Getting a little desperate Diomedes? Its from a Playstation site, and ive said quite clearly that its not confirmed. You are jumpy today arn't you?
starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS
@starcraft
You know Diomedes gets away with an awful lot. Personally I think he crosses the line half a dozen times a day with rampant profanity, and more to the point blatant trolling. When you post a one line slur against another poster, and manage to be profane at the same time shouldn't that be a sign that the poster in question should be given a nap. Perhaps you should pass that along to a mod since he basically just did that to you. You do not deserve it, and nor should you expect it to happen.
@Morgyn
Everyone seems to have an agenda on these forums. How is that in the least strange. The only thing pointing out how another poster has an agenda does is highlight the fact you have one of your own. Your trying to discredit the other poster in line with your own agenda. Were you truly neutrals chances are you would have no opinion at all.
Kind of unfortunate that a thread with a strong premise is getting derailed intentionally by what amounts to blatant trolling.

diomedes cries everyday when he opens the site, trufax
reminds me why he even goes on this site while he still obivously doubt our numbers (don't ask me why)
on topic; yes this is false, it was indeed a rumour, but it's definently been backed by warner bros themselves
All of the studios would be willing to switch for the $$$, not just Warner/Paramount etc. If the price offered is high enough, they'll switch in a heartbeat, but it looks like whatever The HD-DVD people offered wasn't worth their while so Warner looks like it will be neutral for a while. And as whether the HDDVD people will be able to win through offering financial incentives, that is a tactic that the BD people have as well, and a more effective one at that since they currently have a lot more corporate support around the format.
So, what would be the rational awnser to the question of which format will win?
My questions is who wins when people buy the dual format players?
well both. But, most players bought are of a single format (by a large majority) anyway b/c these are cheaper
