Sounds cool, lets hope that they don't settle on a subscription based system and I'll check it out

Yeah, after reading that, I can confidently say that this game online is going to be an unorganized cluster-frack.
One "officer in charge", a few "platoon leaders", and "squad leaders" as well as regular squad mates all acting in an organized manner? NEVER gonna happen!
This will end up just like KZ2 and R2 and any other game that attempts to do "squads". People will just go off and do their own thing.... such is the way of the undisciplined average gamer.
as long as there are no cheaters and the zero stuttering or lesser lag, this game will be epic for me.

At least it look better than some other games like Halo 3 but a game don't need the best graphics to be good.

I'm a bit skepitcal of the platoon leaders, but I think that Zipper did a great job in adding the squad objective aspect in order to give an incentive to those who otherwise don't act as a squad. I haven't read the whole article, but if the CO picks it, then that'll be awesome and effective. I'm only skeptical of the platoon officer, because it seems a bit useless to me. An uncessary middle man.

I just feel that battles of such a scale will be ruined when they become open to the public.
I really hope that in playtests like this, they have people purposefully playing the game as it should NOT be played, to help them find game breaking problems before launch.
I hope it does well, but I can't help but have my doubts.

Very true. I guess they figure one CO would be hard to manage all the squads by himself.
I can't wait to be a commander in charge of everything. I will rape the other team with my tactics.

Lol.... i'm sure everyone thinks the same way. Everyone always thinks they have the best "tactics".
^oh but I do, I had two military tactic classes/history at LSU. I use them in RTS games, and they work really well against opponents. It will be fun though, regardless.
