Gunstar Heroes Achievements hint at XBLA release

That didn't take long. While Sega's Gunstar Heroes was noticeably absent from Achievements uncovered earlier this month, Xbox360Achievements has again given us reason to live. Or at least reason enough to believe that the Treasure classic will be running and gunning for Xbox Live Arcade sometime down the line.

The site highlights twelve Achievements for the fan favorite side-scroller, worth 200 points in all. While we're disappointed at the lack of creativity in the list, which mostly focuses overcoming the game's top baddies, we continue to hope for online co-op play once Gunstar Heroes' XBLA debut is made official. Come on Sega, make it happen!

There are 12 achievements with a total of 200 points.

	Complete The Game	25
Play through the final scene of Gunstar Heroes.
	Golden Silver	25
Defeat superboss Golden Silver.
	O Brother	25
Defeat Green.
	Greedy Fly	25
Defeat Black Fly.
	Locked and Loaded	15
Begin the game with each weapon.
	Colonel Red	15
Rescue Yellow by defeating Smash Daisaku.
	OMG 11 Bosses	15
Complete the Dice Palace and defeat Black Beat Stepper.
	Not Quite Red	15
Defeat Orange on the Flying Battleship.
	Crab Attack	10
Defeat Crab Force in the Underground Mine.
	Pink	10
Defeat Pinky Roader in the Ancient Ruins.
	Bravoo Man	10
Defeat Bravoo Man in the Ancient Ruins.
	Papaya Dance	10
Defeat Papaya Dance in the Ancient Ruins.

Excellent News... Gunstar Heros Kicks Ass..

Whoa, that's what I call an easy 200/200. =P

I loved this game. Great 2 player action. This is great news.

One of the best MegaDrive games. Co-op has to be there.

I already have the VC release of this on Wii, but I might be willing to pick it up again if it's not too expensive on XBLA ;-p

^^It was released on the Wii?.. I never knew. For some reason, VC games seem like a waste of money to me. There's no added benefits to buying them, when you can just play them on a PC or PSP.

I like the original style with no added crap in the way, I like to give Treasure money, I have a giant TV, and the Wii has wireless controllers that feel good to use.

If you guys don't already have this, I highly recommend it.  It's up there with Contra and Metal Slug in the super amazing perfect games department.

Ghost is right. I didn't even own a Genesis and I played the hell out of this game. I hope to god this has online coop because after college I dispersed from all my cronies. And I dont think my fiancee will be worth a damn.
