After AC was shown they tossed the game from my understanding and started over. The core idea of the game isn't so much changed as the tools you would have are diffrent. What I don't understand though is why he would come in through the day and not have snuck in at night. I'm excited to see what they have done with the game since starting back over. edit: That video is from 2006/7 so it's not a ripoff of anything except some of their in house concepts. Considering it's been in development since 2005 I think it's a little retarded to call it a ripoff of games that just go released. |
I don't mean rip off as in how Forbes said Harmonix ripped off Guitar Hero. I know they're both Ubisoft games. Didn't Montreal make AC too? I'm saying rip off as in they're creating a crowd stealth game with the Splinter Cell game. There's going to be 2 of them out now, and no L/S game. I don't have any evidence, nor did I look it up, but by common sense I'm guessing that Assassin's Creed. The first game with a completed crowd system, and a game that was released earlier than Convictions was in development earlier. I'll LOVE it if they tossed the whole game to make a game with similar game mechanics to the original games. However, I have little hope that they did. One of the biggest problems is that the devs haven't said anything for the past few years =/ I've lost a lot of respect for Montreal these days. AC sucked hard, and they killed one of the best stealth games (I think it's a shit load better than MGS).
