Wow. "Up" conquers for it's second weekend in a row. Good job, Pixar.
"The Hangover" did great for an R-rated comedy.
And HaHa, "Land Of The Lost" tanked badly. My wish came true.

The Hangover looked about as intelligent as a retarded person trying to do brain surgery. I think I will skip it.
We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke
It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...." Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson
Nothing exciting coming up this weekend, maybe the movie companies didn't want to compete against the U.S. Open.
Up has a chance to come in 1st - it actually got beat by Hangover this past weekend.
I saw "Up" on 2D - heard that 3D is not that impressive (loses 20% of color), but I'm gonna take the family to El Capitan to see it.

Which is why I want to see it. Any movie that's got a baby in a closet and Mike Tyson singing Phil Collins is pure win in my book.

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/
add 10 more dollars for Terminator Salvation my girlfriend wants ( forcing me to go see it again ) me to go see it with her
i saw UP on sunday it was a good movie
Looks like the new Harry Potter & Transformer movies will end up 1st & 2nd for the summer blockbuster crown with UP not too far behind if it keeps holding well(it has zero competition until Ice Age 3 in 3 weeks).
Biggest movie of the year will go to AVATAR. James Cameron in sci-fi mode does not put a foot wrong(IMO). Despite no trailer and just a handful of stunning concept art shots, this movie is my most anticipated of the year. The trailer should appear in front of Harry Potter, Transformers or Ice Age or all 3.
Playing: Borderlands(great co-op,HUGE amount of content),Too Human(better late than never lol),Saints Row 3(Penetrator ftw),Minecraft 360,Harry Potter Lego.
Patiently waiting for: Tomb Raider, Borderlands 2
Ugh. The Proposal took #1 place with $34 million. We won't have to worry much longer, as the the transformers will make sure it doesn't do as well next weekend. Muahahahaha.
OMG. people need to watch UP nowwwww. this movie is the best movie of all times!!!!!. is just amazing. and my most anticipated movie right now is transformers 2!!!!, oh and for the holydays is new moon!!!!!!!!!!.
I've heard very good things about UP. Yet at the same time I might just wait for the DVD, because it doesn't have the appeal that Wall-E or The Incredibles had on me.

Ever heard of counter programming? The Proposal will continue to hold up pretty well as it's the only romantic comedy in the marketplace right now.
