I might be a bit late on the bandwagon, but I finally tried out Spotify. If you don't know anything about Spotify, check the link. I suck at explaining.
I was positively surprised at just how fast it is. I usually use iTunes, and Spotify is way faster. Being faster than iTunes might not be such a hard thing to achieve, but for a completely online experience to be faster than an on-computer counterpart is pretty amazing.
Most music that I searched for was there, and a LOT of stuff that I didn't search for. I'm just now listening to Superbus, that I didn't even know existed just days ago. But not all music is there, like my favorites Metallica or Galenskaparna. Quite often certain albums are missing, and the dates on the albums are often wrong.
But I find the lack of a library to call my own, and proper browsing functions to be the biggest drawbacks. And I do lack the function that tells me how many times I've played a certain song, and the different ways to sort my library.
I'm going to be using both iTunes and Spotify simultaniously from now on. It's nice to finally have a great free and legal alternative.
