Forums - Microsoft - Infinite Undiscovery for $10

So I was browsing through Best Buy's $10 game sale today hoping to find a copy of Devil May Cry 4 or Condemned 2 (both were in the ad, among others.  There wasn't a whole lot of anything left.  What was still there was all PS3 and DS stuff.  But I did see a copy of Infinite Undiscovery and snatched that up.  I still had a gift card left over from Christmas, so I decided to go for it.

I know the game got hot and cold reviews, but what did you guys think of this one?  Keep in mind, I'm not a huge JRPG fan, but I am almost to the end of Star Ocean 4 and have been loving it.  So was Infinite Undiscovery worth $10?

yeah its pretty good. i enjoyed it but i payed $40

Yes. Besides a few problems with script/dialogue/characters/voice work it was a good game. The gameplay was solid and actually very fun.

at 10 dollars anything from SE is worth it

Did you play SO4?  Was it as bad as the dialogue in that game?  There were some moments in SO4 where I got shivers up and down my spine from the bad dialogue/voice acting.

In my honest opinion, Star Ocean was worse in terms of dialogue, and with voice acting they were pretty even. I will say that IU didn't have a character that is even close to as annoying as Lymle though.

Didnt have it at my best buy:(..They had alot of Crappy Games

My Best Buy has this game on sale too, I might buy it.

I think it's a great game. A little shorter than Star Ocean 4, but it's still very fun and it's basic setup of a constant landscape with no overworld actually works really well. And yes, the dialogue is generally better in Infinite Undiscovery, although it was very weird for me at first to hear Capel and think "Woah, you're Faize!". You get used to it

You don't even have full voice overs in IU so how can it be worse than Star Ocean? Lymle and Sarah are weak characters and their dialogue was bad I admit in SO4 but IU had too many characters that you hardly cared for more than maybe 4 of them. I enjoyed both games but I just don't see how the dialogue or even more so the VO is worse in SO4 than IU?

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.
