This is just me speaking, but like PCs and their graphics cards, us users are able to update the driver software for the cards. Could it be possible in future consoles that NVIDIA and ATI establish firmware updates to our consoles so our graphics cards have the latest drivers, much like what we are able to do with PCs?
Wii has ATI.
PS3 has NVIDIA.
Xbox 360 has ATI.
By using this method, the consoles could play future titles with little to no graphical glitches. Could this happen or is it just me?
EDIT: I meant to say future consoles in the title, not current, unless they could in firmware updates or are already implimented.
