How much do you have? I guess that given you're on your first playthrough, probably you're at levels 30-40, with no Fire resistance specific equipment and only using the Ring of Fire Resistance and no Water Veil spell right?

Then maybe, your Fire Resist is at 140?  

what are everyones soul levels in this game on this forum?? because im currently soul level 238 and its annoying because i can hardly find anyone to Co-Op with now with because of the soul level restriction rule.
I think its a bad idea because basically ive been punished by the servers for playing the game and getting a high soul level (which is surly part of the game to level up!!) and now i have to play with not being able to co-op with people because there out of my soul level range.
i can understand not being able to invade peoples games as a black phantom because it will be too one sided but i think restricting the co-op part is stupid. i basically never get summoned anymore and theres never any Blue soul signs on the floors anymore!
i love the game but i think there should be a patch to fix this because its just taken away one of the best parts of the game.

Also i bought the asian version of this game aound a year ago, does anyone know if i sell the asian version and buy the new european version which is being released, will my save file still work with it? i want to do this because european and usa versions have worldwide servers while the asian and korean versions are region locked. so i want to be able to play worldwide as there might be more of a chance of someone being in my soul level range.

Just beat phalanx and tower knight. im lvl 24. Great game. My broadsword is +4. Any idea where i can get better clothes armour for my soldier. Aldo i bought the heal spell in the nexus for 5000 and i remembered it but when i press up on the dpad to use it nothing happens. HELP!!

Pressing up on the dpad is just used to select a spell. You need to equip a talisman in one of your hands to actually cast a maracle like heal. To cast magic like fireball, you'll need to equip a catalyst.

Ah. Any ideas on how to get a talisman boss ?

I think I found mine in the first section of the Valley of Defilement, near the beginning of that level.

or get the taliman of beasts and that can cast magics and miracles, so no need for changing weapons for your casts

its on 2-2, you have to get the world tendency for that level to pure black, the easiest way to do this is to keep dying in body form. so just keep using Stone of Epheral eyes to revive yourself then die, it should take no more than 6 times.
Then on the part where you making your way down a vertical drop by dropping down onto wooden ledges around halfway down theres a cave, in ther cave will be a Black phantom, kill the black phantom of the talisman of beasts is yours.

The best way to kill the black phantom is to just keep your distance and keep moving left to right and dodging his fire attacks, soon he will run out of magic power and no longer be able to use magic, this is the best time to attack him but watch out he still has powerful physical attacks.
alot of people have managed a cheap way of kiilling him by making him fall off the ledge of the cave by manouvering in a certain spot so he just falls off.

But in all honesty mate if i was you i'd just get on with playing the game enjoy it and get more familar with it and then try and get items like the talisman of beasts. i know it might sound like alot of info i just gave you but you will get to know it if you keep at the game.
