Without my help I think he would have died. It would be sad to see that happen when he's one of the only sane persons left.

^oh boy...i dunno what to say, you meet him again in 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, and briefly in 1-4 he is the only person to give you a pure clearstone and the only other way to obtain wuld be c geckos which are limited.

edit:I recommend saving him, Old King Doran's body armor is imo the best armor in the game, low weight, no stamina impedement and the best of the no stamina impedement armors in both looks, and defense, his ring can be useful if you go for an all block build. I could see a spear user being very overpowered with Old Doran ring and Purple Flame Shield maxed out.

You'll have to save him in 1-2 and in 1-3 again in order for him to give you the Mausoleum Keys (and a pure Clearstone in 1-3) to open the door in 1-1 which houses Old King Doran and the Demonbrandt.

Unless you happen to be in luck to find the spot in where he died and in the same run through the stage in which he died, A.K.A without going back to the nexus, you can still find the key on his body.

If he dies somewhere around the levels and you aren't aware of it, go back to the nexus and return, and his body and key will not be there and you can only get it in NG+

omg I cleared 8 crystal geckos in 4-3 and no pure darkmoonstone...are you serious just chunks at this rate i'm screwed...only one other place to get them.

Anybody know where to get some good armour , I've only got the steel plate, first one you can buy.....
Also, I just finished 2-1, where should I go now ? 3-1, the prison, is almost complete also, I believe I'm at the end of the stage but I can't get the guy that will sell me some magic. I'm not sure where the key to his cell is....

Any good weapons I should be looking for ? Right now I got the scimitar+5, my shield is purple fire shield, I just finished leving to 22str. That spider boss was much easier with that shield and the fire ring.

You have to wait for Pure Black in order to do an efficient Gecko Hunt, especially for the Pure stones, since the Drop Rates are directly affected by it.

Also, you don't need a better armor than that for starters, but let me ask you, can you roll efficiently with it? Seems to me that with such heavy armour, you're impended to do good, fast rolls.

Plus, you should be looking out for both the Dragon Long Sword in 2-2 and Crescent Falchion in 4-1, those are the best swords until you can get your hands on beasts like the Meat Cleaver or BlueBlood Sword

Yeah! Cloudstones done, just need to finish world 5 in BP and get Suckerstones and Marrowstones and i'm outta NG!

@letstat tell me wen ur in ng i'll run thru it with u I'm already done boletaria, on last boss in caves, finished world 4, and did 3-1. wheee spending all my souls for fun now got 1 and a half games of souls stored up at 400k rite now press square moar!!
