First, did you get the Thief's Ring in 1-1? It's on the bottom of the first tower, to the left of the doorway that leads to Phalanx.

Equip the Thief's ring before going to the room with the dogs. With the Thief's ring on, take small steps towards the directions of the dogs, make sure that only the first two of them appear, and backtrack slowly, that way the third won't appear.

You can easily deal with the first two, since most of the times they attack at the same time, just block their attacks and use quick R1 attacks. After those two, the last one is easier to deal with.

Also, be careful of the Fat Minister in the room where the dogs were.

He left you alone? Pretty crappy Blue Phantom helper that you got >_<

Heck I as a Blue Phantom have even taken a Bullet (so to speak) in order to keep the player who summoned me alive. That's the essence of being a Blue Phantom, helping the other player survive, because you don't lose souls if you die as a blue phantom.

Be careful of the dogs, they have fast attack times, the best way to defeat them is to attack them right as they bounce off your shield.

Ok I need alot of help with the dogs...

They bounce of my shield but there's about 3 at a time. It's fricking annoying.

If you have the theif ring and a ranged attack (a bow or soul arrow) you can get close enough to target them and hit them from range before they detect you and come at you.

If not you could try approaching very slowly hoping one of them may see you before the others do and then back away and lure him further out so that you only have to face them on a one on one basis.

Otherwise, lestatdark's advice is the best, just try and hit them as soon as they bounce off your shield (which I know can be difficult early on when there are a few of them).

Go back to 1-1 and look for it again, trust me, you'll be using that ring for more than 90% of the time at early stages of the game :P (Heck even I use it when I don't want to be bothered by other enemies when I'm stone farming)

Should I upgrade my battle axe or my long bow?

@sabby_e17

I'll try to give you a good tip about it's location:

Remember the left part of the stage, in which at the top you had a Blue Eyed knight guarding a fog gate? If you pass that fog gate, you'll reach a descending stairway which housed a corridor in which at the end there was a doorway with oil barrels and a soldier who threw a firebomb to explode those barrels.

After descending the stairs that I told you, if you look down in the beginning of the corridor, you can see a small ledge in which Ostrava is waiting for you to help him, or was if you had already helped him. If you press your character against the ledge of the corridor, he will hop over and jump to the platform where Ostrava is/was.

In that ledge you'll find the Thief's ring

@sabby_e17

It depends on what you use the most, are you primarely a Bow or an Axe user?

In my opinion you should upgrade your bow first, since you'll need Hardstones for both the Bow and the Axe, and you'll find better weapons further down the game than the Axe.

Upgrade your bow to +7, that way, when you defeat the Armored Spider Boss in 2-1, you can make the Lava Bow with the soul he drops, it's the best bow for characters with Dexterity less than 30.

I am confused lol. But thanks anyway, I'm just going to try hard and look for it.

AAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!! I F@#$%KING HATE 5-1!!!!!!

I died one billion times from falling. That damn giant goblins would make me roll into my doom.

I did beat it (beating the boss with Clever Rat Ring and Morion Blade was a piece of cake), but damn that pissed me off.

I already beat Worlds 2 and 4. I started 5 and Im dreading going back to 3.

And I just realized that because of my earlier stupidity, Im going to have to play a 4th time to beat the Armor Spider cause I consumed his soul instead of using it to make the lava bow.

Please, someone post that pic of Nelson saying HA HA! again
