My counter strategy for keel smasher is quite simple with the MC

AoE roll attack with the MC :D

Even if I were, my buid right now is for a totally different approach, so far I haven't tested it in PvP, will do when I have to go back from Pure Black CT to Pure White CT xD

Make sure you defeat all NPC Black Phantom's, if you were neutral before, all four world NPC black phantoms will boost you to pure White CT

Already got them in my first play through, but I also killed Doran, so I think that lowered me a little,

Haha I was so cheap with some of them too, sniping Selen, pushing Scirvir off the ledge, poking at Miralda through the wall, hit and run launching spells at Rydell. The only straight up fight was Satsuki.

Well, I killed Doran as well and I have pure White Character Tendency, so you must have killed some other NPC by mistake, one of the vendors perhaps?

I sniped Selen as well, no way was I going to fight in that friggin swamp :P

Yeah, I don't feel bad about sniping Selen. I do however feel moderately bad about shield bashing Scirvir off the edge.

The only NPC I killed was Yurt, but I figured that one didn't count? I was assuming it didn't and that killing Doran might have been bad. It doesn't matter, I'll just kill a few more in NG+ and call it a day.

Actually haven't played for 2 days, was trying out MAG (very disappointed in it btw, but that doesn't matter). So tomorrow, I'll get back to Demon's Souls =)

agreed with lestatdark, I actually got keel smasher before my MC, tried it out, didn't fall in love with it. Damage and fire res on it initially are nice, but I think MC is better later. Also Keel Smasher upgrades also feel a bit overpriced to me, colorless demon soul for 15 damage and 6 fire res per upgrade :/.

Taken from demon soul wiki MC "at max stats it has 90 + 306 Physical Damage and 90 + 98 Magical Damage" all that added together = 584. Keel Smasher +5 does 280 plus a B of str. MC has an S in str and dex so it easily outpowers it if built on str,dex, and faith.

yah I attacked from afar, like i said no makoto so I was scared as hell and didn't want to touch those stairs lol. It wasn't bad I enjoyed lunch, watched a tv show, 400 arrows later dragon died. 50 later so did the false king =)
